Who is Emmie, anyway??????????
The request for my bio gave me pause to think.
Who am I anyway?

Answers are many: wife, mother, sister, friend,
caregiver, volunteer, and me.

Until moving to Florida in 1994, my life was spent in New England
and upstate New York. Graduated from high school in
Newark, New York, then from college in Boston.

(what a neat place to live)

Afterwards I worked as a social worker in Niagara Falls
where I met, married, and buried my first husband.

Next move was to Boston working in the personnel
and public relations fields.

It was there Bill and I met and started our 42 year life journey.
We added a son (6), daughter (10), cat, and dog to our lives in
1969 moving to suburbia at the time.

Life’s been an adventure! We’ve traveled the world,
loved our home near the ocean, had our ups and downs and
look forward to the adventures each day brings.

After retirement we traveled for about 6 months each year
for 10 years in our motor home meeting the people
and experiencing the wonders this country has to offer.
In 2003 Bill’s stroke changed our lives for what you see today.

About clowning……… it’s in my blood!
My grandfather was the young man who ran away from home
 and joined the circus.
As a child he took me each year to see Ringling in New York
for a bit of showing off --
me to his friends, and his friends to me.
They were wonderful. And inspiring.

Retirement is an opportunity to do things you always wanted to do.
While volunteering at the Red Cross I met two clowns
who offered to teach me.

How wonderful this thing they started!
It’s been fun ever since with more learning,
more friends and much volunteering.

Thank you all for being part of our world!

On a personal note, Emmie has been there since day one for me personally. She was
there almost every week for our class. Emmie and "WILD WILLY" (I really like that
   guy!)

She will probably be upset with me but I would like to share a story, I wanted to go to
our  convention SO bad - but just couldn't swing the ticket price. Emmie very generously
offered the second half of her ticket to me. I got to attend Wednesday - Friday. I had
so  much fun. I loved going to all the classes and of course I really enjoyed the banquet.
Emmie I thank you Very very much.
  Your friend, Corny
